We are an all-volunteer organization providing free support services to cancer patients and their families. Make-A-Wish

Your Make-A-Wish Chapter

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia was founded in May 1983 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bryan was a seven-year-old cancer patient who wanted to visit his favorite uncle in Texas for one of their famous piggy-back rides. Today the chapter has granted more than 9,500 wishes. We are the first chapter in the world to fulfill more than 700 wishes in one year.

Sertoma’s National Service Project

SAFEEARS! is now into its second year as Sertoma’s National Service Project. In its inaugural year, 115 of our club’s participated, educating more than 250,000 individuals about the prevention of noise induced hearing loss (NIHL).

Tennis for Kids

Tennis for Kids Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non profit establishment to provide free tennis instruction to children in York County without regard to religion, race, sex, ethnic or national origin.  The mission of Tennis for Kids, chartered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is to give children 8 through 16:

  • The opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tennis, a lifetine recreational activity.
  • The opportunity for expanded social contact early in life.
  • The opportunity to fill often empty hours with a positive experince.

You have no doubt heard the complaint, often voiced at community meetings, that children have nothing to do.  Tennis for Kids is dedicted to helping to fill idle hours by establishing a friendly environmet and providing basic instruction in a sport that lasts a lifetime.
